The route
The excursion begins with a ride on off-road vehicles along the panoramic road that climbs the northern slope of Etna, crossing ancient craters and recent lava flows until reaching the Volcanological Observatory at an altitude of 2800 metres.
From here, accompanied by volcanological guides , we continue towards the Pizzi Deneri lookout , one of the volcano’s most spectacular vantage points. The view extends from Etna’s summit craters to the Ionian Sea, passing through the Valle del Bove and Valle del Leone (visibility may vary depending on weather or volcanic conditions).
Once back on the vehicles, the next stage leads to the craters of the 2002 eruption , where a short and fascinating route along the crater rims of the eruption that destroyed Piano Provenzana is planned. At the end, return by off-road vehicle to the starting point.

Attention:
Walking along the crater rims may cause vertigo in sensitive individuals.
Not recommended for people with cardiovascular or respiratory conditions or hypertension.
Contact lenses are not recommended for gas and volcanic ash.
Not permitted for pregnant women after the third month of pregnancy.
